Assimilation Ministry
Assimilation ministry assists people in connecting with others in the congregation and guiding them through the process of becoming involved in the ministries of First Assembly. This process involves attending: “Discovery,” (Exploring how to Mature in Christ) “Welcome to the Journey” (Exploring the ministries of First Assembly of God) and “Welcome to the Family”(Exploring Membership) and connecting with others through our Small Group ministry.
- Assimilation Ministry includes the Hospitality Ministries of: greeting, ushering, guest followup, valet parking, and driving shuttle bus.
- Discovery class covers the foundations for effective Christian Living and is open to every Christian desiring to understand how to live an effective christian life.
- Welcome to the Journey provides an overview of First Assembly and directions for the next step in a person’s spiritual journey. This once per month class which meets on the first Sunday of each month is followed by The Christian Life Profile class (helping individuals develop an ongoing strategy for personal spiritual growth).
- Welcome to the Family examines membership at First Assembly, Why we have membership, Who can become a member, and How a person becomes a member at First Assembly.
- PowerVisitor (guest followup) connects with our guest following Sunday services to thank them for their visit and to provide information on how to connect with the ministries of the church.
- Shutttle Service is provided each Sunday morning for those that park in the outer parking lot.

- Christmas Musical Presentation (Winter)
- Membership Seminar (Quarterly)
- New Years Celebration (Winter)
- Small Group Kick-off (Fall)

- Other times of fellowship throughout the year
